South Renton

Off the South end of great Lake Washington lies the city of Renton. Renton is a key trade city in the Northwest, and south of downtown is its industrial engine. In 2000, the City’s downtown core underwent tremendous development as part of a city beautification and marketing plan, Renton – Ahead of the Curve. As central development neared completion, the city began to set its sights on uplifting its suburban neighborhoods. Valley Medical Center is also located here and offers comprehensive medical care.

The city of Renton also puts out an exceptional and multi-faceted workforce through 6, 4-year colleges, as well as Renton Technical College. The number of individuals over 25 who have completed 4 or more years of college is nearly twice the national average here, and many graduates fill local positions.
