Sammamish Golf Clubs

Sammamish is home to two private golf clubs: The Plateau Club, and Sahalee Country Club, the latter of which hosted the 1998 PGA Championship and 2002 World Golf Championship-NEC Invitational. It also has its own Sammamish Symphony, which was formed in 1994, and has since become an integral part of the community playing at public gatherings, and encouraging youth involvement. Lake Sammamish

Much of Beaver Lake Park is taken up by the beachfront and swimming area, its 3 playing fields, playground, and a large wooden jigsaw lodge that is available for private parties and events. However, 54 of its acres are still wooded, and this area is veined with hiking trails that offer a variety of scenic lookouts.

The newly renovated, 16-acre Pine Lake Park is the premier location for families in the summertime. With a brand new pier for fishing, a variety of improved playing fields, a climbing wall, BBQ grill and picnic shelter, and a freshly landscaped beachfront (lifeguards on duty), residents are drawn to this lovely lake surrounded by tall pines and evergreen trees. During the summer, every Thursday evening PLP, with its idyllic, wooded setting, hosts Summer Nights in the Park—a community event that features music concerts, plays, and outdoor movies.


Sammamish Schools

Beaver Lake and Pine Lake teens can attend Skyline High School—a beautiful, fairly new, 3A high school that is scenically located on the top of a hill, and known for its high-class education and solid sports program. However, both Lake Washington (serving Northern) and the Issaquah School District (serving Southern) are within city limits. Both school systems are highly rated, having active parents and educators. Eastlake High School belongs to LWSD, and Skyline High School to ISD. The newly built Eastside Catholic is located in between the two public high schools, and provides families with a private education option. There are 4 middle/junior high schools: Inglewood Junior High, Beaver Lake Middle School, Pine Lake Middle School, and Renaissance School of Art and Reasoning, as well as nearly a dozen elementary schools.
