Trossachs neighborhood in southeast Sammamish is a master-planned community that offers sweeping views of the snow-capped, Cascade Mountain Range. Comprised of condominiums and luxury homes, this relatively newer neighborhood is a favorite of Sammamish kids for trick-or-treating. These custom homes are luxurious inside and are accompanied with well-manicured yards.
Situated along Duthie Hill Road which runs east and west through the south Sammamish Plateau, this neighborhood has convenient access to Fall City and Issaquah. The fence-line of Trossachs’ own Cascade Ridge Elementary marks the actual border between Sammamish and Fall City. On a clear day the crystallized Cascades stretch across the entire eastern skyline, and offer a great backdrop for kids as they play capture the flag on the school playfield at recess.
Trossachs falls within the borders of the Issaquah School District. Public school options include, Cascade Ridge for elementary, and as they get older students will most likely attend nearby Beaver Lake Middle School and then progress to Skyline High School, both of which have great school ratings.
This neighborhood is great for nature lovers, as there are numerous parks and trails scattered throughout the neighborhood including a long bike path; some residents even have ponds in their back yard. Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park is also nearby and is 120 acres of forest park featuring a new 5-6 mile loop trail and big jumps for active bikers.
Inside Trossachs neighborhood is the Sterling Square condo community which was built in 2004. These condos boast wonderful amenities such as an outdoor pool, indoor spa and exercise room, wide floor plans, fireplaces, and like the rest of Trossachs, convenient access to bus lines. The posh community club house can also be rented out for special events.
Every day shopping is very convenient as most residents shop at nearby Pine Lake Village, or at the Klahanie shopping center. Pine Lake is home to a QFC and Rite Aid, as well as a Starbucks, Hair Masters, a variety of banks and a gas station. Among a wide spectrum of restaurants, La Casita is a great place to take the family for Mexican food, and Chan’s Place, located in Klahanie, is an Eastside favorite for Chinese food. Klahanie, a similarly master-planned community located on the Plateau, offers another QFC, and even more attractive amenities, including medical facilities, clothing boutiques, fitness centers, technology stores and more. Downtown Issaquah is just minutes away to meet your greater shopping needs, and also offers a wonderful selection of top-rated restaurants.
